A Little Pre-K Christmas Love

Slade showing his hat he made at school. He actually thought it was way too baby-ish but agreed to take just one picture in it. I love my little Pre-K kid.

Getting Bigger

Cruz had his first official day in nursery yesterday. Half the time he had a good time playing with the other kids and the other half he felt better hiding under my arm. Here he is checking out who he would like to be his friend and eating his snack out of a coffee filter. Apparently the church is a huge fan of coffee filters as plates. It's very confusing.

Bed Time

Slade felt the need to really snuggle up to get warmy. Notice the double hats.

Blue has created a "World of Fun" on his top bunk. This involves books, art supplies, a few toys, and that container that says Blue on it holds whatever candy he has to save. You know, for a little morning snack. He says he does this so on days that he doesn't have to wake up and go off to school he can just stay in his bed all day. A worthy goal.

Cruz is just so kooky that he insisted on wearing two different striped jammies. I mean, of course it wasn't that I couldn't find the matching pair. He is also still enjoying the bottle...oh no.

Check Mate

The boys had their last chess club meeting and i just had to be sure to take some pictures of their intense strategy.
Here Blue is trying to protect the queen and control the center.

The boys playing against eachother. Cruz trying to steal some.

The Mad Scientist otherwise known as thier teacher. A crazy dude.

They can't wait to start up again next semester.

Make It Work!

Caution: you might become very, very jealous.

I met Tim Gunn last night! He was doing a book signing and promotional work for Liz Claiborne at Scottsdale Fashion square last night and three out of four of my sisters and I got the pleasure of meeting the Mr. Fab. Let me just assure everyone that he was just as lovely and wonderfully nice as he is on Project Runway and Guide to Style. He pretty much loved us too.

Here he is doing his signature pose with me.

Giving Kelli some love.

Pretending to be the Father of Chelsea's unborn baby. Notice the interlocked fingers.

Devan requested the "prom " pose and he said he didn't know how because he never went to a prom.

We love you Tim!
Behind us in line was this Project Runway Blogger!

Thanksgiving In Review

Thanksgiving is a good time.

Here all the kids had matching smiley face shirts that Presley made for everyone.

Our great tradition of all the kids making their own gingerbread house. Yummy.

Slade, Blue and Xander spending lots of time making it just so.

Last but not least, Slade in an Indian Chief costume made at Pre-K. His name was Chief Red Rain.

Thanks Thanksgiving for the Thankfulness Thank yous.

Family Faces

While this is not the most flattering pic of any of us, I love it. This shows real family life. In some really exciting news, Cruz says "I love you" now. This boy is a trickster. He pretends not to talk and then randomly shoots out i love you. I think he is just messin' with all of us, but really, who can blame him.

P.S. That awful owie on his face is just about healed up. Hooray.

Family Fun Day

We decided to take a day off from life and headed to Prescott to hang out and hike around Lynx Lake. It was perfect weather and we hiked around the entire lake. It took us like 3 hours with stops to have lessons in skipping rocks. Jason is an excellent rock skipper, if I do say so myself. Just one reason that I married him... The boys had a great time and Cruz especially enjoyed the freedom of hiking in the mud and throwing rocks in the water. When Blue was 3 he said, "throwing rocks is a boys dream." This rings true for all three of ours.

Love Letters

Blue left me this little love note on the couch before he went to bed. He was waiting for me to find it and then rushed out and gave me a big squeezy squeeze hug. It made this very long day have a perfect ending. Blue knew just what I needed.

I just looked at this picture and thought it was so funny. This shows just how crazy my big boys are on a daily basis. They are crazy but you gotta love them.

See ya, DUMBY STUPID HEAD Cancer!

Just three of my reasons that I am really happy to announce that I am cancer free! I'm talking about the children, not the costumes.
