Today was Mismatch day at Blue's school. I guess some of the other kids didn't get the memo. Notice how half his hair is spikey and half is smooth - Blue's genius idea. Although he was one of the few kids dressed up, he was rockin' it.
I don't know what the gene is in our family that gives us the self-confidence to were a costume, or maybe it's some strange masochist gene that prompts us to humiliate ourselves in front of others. I prefer to think it is the first. But a real "I'm so glad Blue's by Grandson!!!!' rings true down to my very core. Fruit doesn't fall far from the tree they say....
i'm very proud right now to call Blue my nephew. I can only hope my kids share this freak gene we all seem to have and aren't afraid to dress up to school. i'm not sure what kind of gene are going to come from dusty. he would dress up now, but i'm not sure about his childhood.
I just stumbled across your blog (I don't even know how--a friend of a friend of a friend, I'm sure) and I'm still laughing at the hilarious picture of your son in a receiving blanket for a diaper. It is SO something that would happen at my house. . .
